Welcome to Manchester Sedation Course
Manchester Sedation Course started in 2015 and became accredited with Intercollegiate Advisory Committee for Sedation in Dentistry (IACSD) in March 2016. Manchester Sedation Course was re-accredited in January 2025 for a further three years.
Since running the course, we have trained hundreds of dentists and dental care professionals in IV sedation with midazolam. We have received wonderful feedback from our delegates, and we have enjoyed every minute of it.

Nasser qualified from Liverpool Dental School in 2006 and performed VT (Vocational Training) in Middleton under the supervision of a Specialist in Oral Surgery.
Professor Julian M Yates

Julian Yates’ areas of specialist interest are facial deformity, facial trauma, oral and maxillofacial Implantology and trigeminal nerve repair.
Tariq Drabu

Tariq Drabu is the clinical lead for primary care oral surgery services in the borough of Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale.

The best facilities
The course is undertaken at Mandec, a superb purpose built dental education centre above University Dental Hospital of Manchester. The practical component and supervision is undertaken at two established, newly renovated, state of the art dental practices in Droylsden and Middleton within Greater Manchester.
